Celebrate San Antonio New Year's Eve Event
Street Closures
The San Antonio Parks Foundation, along with the City of San Antonio, produces the annual New Year's Eve event, Celebrate San Antonio. This free event features something for everyone including music on four stages and special entertainment areas for children and families. Celebrate San Antonio attracts approximately 250,000+ people to the downtown area.
Street closure information for the New Year's Eve Celebration are as follows:
- Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 9:00 am through Saturday, January 1, 2011 at 7:00 am - one northbound lane of Alamo Street (east curb lane) at Nueva Street will be closed.
- Friday,
December 31, 2010 at 8:00 am through Saturday, January 1, 2011 at
7:00 am - a total street closure of Alamo Street between Market Street and
Durango.
- December 31, 2010 at 11:00 pm through January 1, 2011 at 12:45 am - a total street closure of Losoya Street between Commerce and Market Street.
- December 31, 2010 at 11:30 pm through January 1, 2011 at 12:45 am a total street closure of Bowie Street between Market Street and Durango plus the southbound 281 exit ramp to Durango Street.
- December 31, 2010 at 11:30 pm through January 1, 2011 at 12:45 am - a total street closure of Bowie Street between Commerce and Market Street.
