The Downtown Alliance is hosting the 11th annual
Downtown’s BEST Awards. These awards
celebrate people, organizations, and places that have made significant contributions
to Downtown San Antonio, creating a better place to live, work, shop, play, and
be entertained.
You are invited and encouraged to submit a nomination. Nominations must be received by 5:00 pm, Friday, February 24, 2012.. An awards jury representing a cross-section of downtown constituencies will select the winners. Jurors will be named after awards selection.
To guide you in your nomination, think of people, organizations, and places that:
Awards will be given based on the categories listed below. For a “Wild Card” entry, you name the award category. The BEST Urban Storefront will recognize one of downtown’s best storefronts. This category, along with Downtowner of the Year (intended to recognize an individual and his or her achievements), are no-fee entries.

- Have made a significant contribution to Downtown San Antonio during the past 24 months (January 2010 thru December 2011). The Restaurant/Retail category is not subject to the past 24-month requirement.
- Demonstrate a long-term commitment to Downtown San Antonio.
- Display an entrepreneurial or community spirit that positively supports Downtown San Antonio.
