The All-American Bowl Game is January 9, 2010, but Bowl Week activities occur all week leading up to the big game

Each year, a variety of educational, inspirational and celebratory events honor one of the nation's most revered civil rights leaders. The signature event, the annual Martin Luther King, Jr. March, is scheduled for Monday, January 18, 2010. The march will begin at 10 a.m. at the MLK Freedom Bridge located at 3500 MLK Drive and end at Pittman-Sullivan Park, 1101 Iowa.

This yearly event held in San Antonio, Texas, in April, is one of America's greatest festivals. Events include River Parade, Battle of Flowers Parade, Fiesta Del Mercado, and more, benefiting over 100 different non-profit organizations. It began as a way to honor the memory of the heroes of the Alamo and the Battle of San Jacinto. That commemoration still takes place. The Downtown Resident’s Association (DRA) is organizing a community-wide “National Night Out” (NNO) celebration on October 5, 2010 at Hemisfair park for downtown San Antonio. In its 27th year, National Night out is a crime/drug prevention event sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch. Neighborhoods across the country come together to celebrate community and foster relationships to prevent crime. Nationally, the event had over 36 million participants last year.

The National Latino Family Expo is the largest Hispanic consumer show in the country. It is free and open to the general public. The Expo will be held at the Henry B Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas on Saturday and Sunday, July 10-11 from 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Monday, July 12 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The expo hall will be divided into seven different pavilions, allowing participants to experience a variety of activities.
