Movies by Moonlight

Free movies will be shown every Thursday from June until the end of September in the grassy area near the HemisFair Park arch and the Magik Theater at S. Alamo and Nueva. Show time begins at 7:30 p.m. with a pre-show entertainment followed by a brief intermission and the feature film beginning at 8:30 p.m. The feature time and schedule may vary due to the length of the movie. Downtown Residents Association: National Night Out

The Downtown Resident’s Association (DRA) is organizing a community-wide “National Night Out” (NNO) celebration on October 5, 2010 at Hemisfair park for downtown San Antonio. In its 27th year, National Night out is a crime/drug prevention event sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch. Neighborhoods across the country come together to celebrate community and foster relationships to prevent crime. Nationally, the event had over 36 million participants last year.

2010 Urban Spaces Tour

Downtown Alliance’s 7th annual Urban Spaces event is scheduled for Friday Nov. 19. The fun-filled guided walking tour will cover downtown's most exciting residential, commercial, and cultural spaces of downtown San Antonio, including some of the best penthouse views of the city. Food and drinks will be served along the way, and the tour will culminate with an ending reception. Space is limited, so please RSVP today and sign up for your preferred time slot. Tours leave every half hour beginning at 4pm. Student and military discounts are also available.
