Story Time with Santa Paws
Happy Howl-i-days!
It’s time for “jingle tails” at the Grand Hyatt San Antonio! This December, dash downtown and join us when the hotel’s Managing Director Tom Netting dons a special Santa suit and reads to families and their furry friends. Complimentary cookies, milk, cider and coffee served to all two legged story time guests as well as holiday treats for their four legged friends.
Tongues and tails will be wagging during our annual Story time with Santa Paws taking place on Thursday, December 2nd / Wednesday, December 8th / Wednesday, December 15th at 10 a.m. The Grand Hyatt San Antonio invites the public to bring their children (two legged & four legged) as Santa Paws reads from a number of pet themed holiday “tails”. If you don’t have a pet to bring, don’t worry. The Humane Society of San Antonio will be bringing plenty of adoptable puppies to love and snuggle with! It will be a joyous winter wonderland for families and pets alike as downtown’s grandest hotel is transformed with holiday decorations and thousands upon thousands of lights. Guests can look forward to viewing the hotel’s holiday themed windows along with an oversized chocolate sculpture created by Grand Hyatt San Antonio’s award-winning pastry chef Daniel Keadle.
WHAT: Three merry holiday story times with Santa Paws and special guests like Cleto Rodriquez, CJ Cruz, and more at the Grand Hyatt San Antonio!
WHO: Santa Paws and special guests (local celebrities and media personalities) will read a number of pet-themed holiday “tails”.
WHEN: Thursday, December 2nd / Wednesday, December 8th / Wednesday, December 15 at 10 a.m.
WHERE: The lobby of the Grand Hyatt San Antonio Hotel, 600 E. Market Street.
SPECIAL: Complimentary cookies, milk, cider and coffee served to all two legged story time guests as well as holiday treats for their four legged friends.
OTHER: These events are free and open to the public. Complimentary valet parking is available to story time guests.
WHY: In honor of the Grand Hyatt San Antonio’s Community Partners: The Humane Society of San Antonio (HSSA) & The San Antonio Public Library Foundation.

Families, be sure to bring your cameras to take photos with Santa Paws and in front of our gorgeous holiday window displays. The readings will take place in front of the cheery “Tis’ the Season to be Reading” holiday window display complete with more than 1,600 lights. You won’t want to miss the pet themed window display, “Waiting for Santa Paws” which portrays an elaborate dog house decked out with kitschy holiday décor, nestled in a snowy backdrop dotted with lit Christmas trees and plenty of snuggly cat and dog stuffed animals patiently awaiting the arrival of the big guy in the red suit.
