Downtown Alliance’s 8th annual Urban Spaces event is scheduled for Thursday December 1, 2011. The fun-filled annual guided walking tour covers downtown's most exciting residential, commercial, and cultural spaces.

Modeled on the wildly popular Manhattan Cocktail Classic and New Orleans' Tales of the Cocktail event. San Antonio's own Cocktail Conference is the first of its kind in Texas. On Saturday, December 3rd, Pearl will host its second annual Tamales! at Pearl Brewery. Tamales! is a celebration of the family, food and fun that so many San Antonians associate with the holidays.  There will be dozens of different kinds of tamales as well as anticuchos, empanadas, tingas, rajas, bunuelos, champurrado and lots of other tasty holiday foods and drinks.  Local mariachis and dance bands, tamale- making demonstrations, a children's plaza and tamale contest for amateur chefs with great prizes.  

Tamales will take place from 11:00 am - 6pm with an evening concert to follow. For more info>>

See the best college volleyball in the country when the NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball Championship returns to San Antonio in the Alamodome Dec. 15 and 17.  Don’t miss the excitement of watching the nation’s top college volleyball teams in action.  This is the second time the city’s nonprofit sports commission, San Antonio Sports, UTSA and the City of San Antonio have teamed together to host the women’s volleyball championship.
