San Antonio Collects: Theodore Gentilz and Mission Life of San Antonio and Northern Mexico
SAMA celebrates the second exhibition in its
three -part San Antonio Collects exhibition series. The sketching and paintings
of French-born Theodore Gentilz provide and important and fascinating window on
the rich tapestry of life in South Texas and Northern Mexico during the second
half of the 19th century. The paintings from this exhibition were all
graciously provided by local collectors and highlight the people, places,
