A RHAPSODY AT BLUE: ARTS & EATS 2009: It's the premier of the
re-inspired Arts & Eats: an intimate occasion hosted at Blue Star
in the Main Gallery incorporating the best of the past and creating a
new hip event in support of contemporary art and education.
The
new Rhapsody at Blue: Arts & Eats 2009, celebrates the finest
cuisine, arts and entertainment including: live music, a contemporary
art sale, an exclusive silent auction of unique items and vacation
destinations, a fine wine and beer tasting, a celebrity VIP judges
panel and a festive top chef summit.
By taking the paramount
elements of Arts & Eats and bringing it back to a smaller audience
at the institution, five exclusive top chefs of San Antonio will
celebrate food with delicacies including caviar, Kobe beef, foe grais
and other gourmet ingredients from around the world. The roster of
acclaimed chefs so far include Chef Mark Bliss of Silo Elevated
Cuisine, Chef Jason Dady of the Lodge Restaurant and BIN 555 and Damien
Vatel of Bistro Vatel among awaited others for 300 honored attendees.
This
year’s co-chairs include: Ruth Chang Nadeau, John J. Speegle and Edward
Valdespino. Honorary event chairs include: Althea Bugg and J. Bruce
Bugg, Jr. All proceeds will go towards Blue Star Contemporary Art
Center exhibitions, operations and ARTsmart educational programs.
