Centro to tap into public improvement district

Centro Partnership, the nonprofit group the city of San Antonio created to lead the downtown revitalization effort, will likely gain its first stream of public money. On May 30, the City Council is expected to approve a 10-year renewal of the public improvement district (PID) for downtown. A renewal means an increase in the amount of money property owners are assessed based on property values, of which Centro will tap in to.
