Various downtown events will require temporary street closures. Motorists will be diverted as the City closes several streets to accommodate the events.

The St. Patrick's Day Parade will be Saturday, March 13, 2010. Street closures for the event include:

• At 9:00am, the following streets will be closed in the forming area: Ave E from 3rd St. to Lexington St. plus 4th St, McCullough and 6th St. between Alamo and Bonham.
• At 11:00am the following streets will be closed for the Parade: Ave E from 3rd St. to Houston St., Houston St. from Ave E. to Alamo, Alamo from Houston St. to Nueva, Nueva from Alamo to St. Mary's St.

The third annual Luminaria will be Saturday, March 13, 2010. The event begins at 6:00 pm and is scheduled to end at 12:00 midnight. Street closure times and locations will vary and include:

• Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 6:00am, one northbound lane of Alamo Street (east curb lane) at Nueva Street.
• Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 12:30pm thru Sunday, March 14, 2010 at 3:00am a total street closure of Alamo Street between Market Street and Durango.
• Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 12:30pm thru Sunday, March 14, 2010 at 3:00am a total street closure of Nueva Street between Presa Street and Alamo Street.
• Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 11:00pm a total street closure of Losoya Street between Commerce and Market Street.
• Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 11:30pm a total street closure of Bowie Street between Market Street and Durango plus the southbound 281 exit ramp to Durango Street.
• Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 11:30pm a total street closure of Bowie Street between Commerce and Market Street.
