From
July 1, thru July 4,
2010 Alcoholics Anonymous will host a convention at the
Convention Center,
Alamodome and Hemisfair Park. Estimated number of attendees is 55,000.
Motorists will be diverted as the City closes several streets to
accommodate the conference.
On
Thursday, July 1, 2010
from 6:00pm to 1:00am the following streets will be closed

Northbound Alamo between Nueva
and Market
- Northbound traffic on Alamo will
be detoured on to westbound Nueva to Presa to Market St. and back
to Alamo
- Eastbound Nueva traffic will be
detoured at Alamo and forced to turn right on southbound Alamo.
On
Thursday, July 1, 2010 thru Sunday,
July 4, 2010 if
pedestrian traffic becomes overwhelming at anytime of the day on Alamo
between
Market St. and Commerce, the Police proposed to close Alamo from Market
St. to
Commerce and the left turn lane on westbound Commerce to Alamo.
On
Thursday,
July 1,
2010 thru Sunday, July 4, 2010 thousands of pedestrians
will be crossing Bowie St. between Market St. and Durango to go over to
the
Alamodome and back. Police will temporarily stop vehicular traffic to
cross the pedestrians so expect delays.
On
Friday, July 2,
2010 thru Sunday, July 4, 2010 from 4:30pm to 1:00am

Eastbound lane of Market St.
from the San Antonio River to New Bowie will be closed. This closed
lane
will be used for any overflow pedestrian traffic.
