Street Closure Notice: Houston Street Closing from 11am-12:30pm Saturday Jan 29, 2011

Motorists will be
diverted for street closures to accommodate the Houston Street Two
Step: Cattle Drive and Stroll events on Saturday, January 29,
2011.
Over 20,000 people are expected to come see the annual San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo Kick-off event, The Houston Street Two Step. The first step of the Two Step will feature live cattle parading down Houston Street. In preparation for this component, Houston Street will be closed from 10:45am until approximately 12:00pm from I-35 to 3rd Street. Houston Street will re-open to vehicular traffic upon the completion of the Cattle Drive at approximately 12:00pm.
The second part of the Two Step event will include the Houston Street Stroll until 2pm and will feature discounts from local businesses, children’s games, musical entertainment, and raffle drawings. During the Stroll, which starts as soon as the parade is over and ends at 2pm, Houston Street will be open as normal.
