Forbes Magazine names San Antonio as one of America's best downtowns for their beauty, accessibility and cultural offerings. The article encourages readers to, "Tour downtown, follow the river by foot or tour it by boat, and save your visit to the Alamo for the late afternoon, when the sun is in retreat and you’ll have more to remember from your trip than just an historic and valiant defeat."

Emergency Street Closing

A four-alarm fire that occurred on Saturday, October 1 will require the emergency demolition of the Main Street Ballroom, Poblano's on Main Mexican Food Restaurant, Mama's Cafe headquarters, and Meat Market Barbeque. The following streets will be temporarily closed for 7 to 10 days.
